Bahrain — Apply Yourself for an eVisa

Direct Apply — no agent required Issuing authority: Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Ministry of Interior

Overview

Bahrain's NPRA runs one of the more open visa systems in the Gulf, covering eligible travelers from more than 200 countries through a single official portal, evisa.gov.bh. You register, complete the form, upload documents, and pay online — the visa links electronically to your passport, with no embassy visit needed for most nationalities. Citizens of GCC countries (Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE) don't need any visa at all for short visits. The government explicitly warns that evisa.gov.bh is the only official portal — several commercial sites charge extra service fees for the same self-service form.
