Overview
Around 65 countries can enter Morocco completely visa-free for short stays — check that list first. For everyone else, Morocco's e-Visa system, launched 10 July 2022 at acces-maroc.ma, splits applicants into three categories. Category A (certain specific nationalities, applying with only a valid passport), Category B (residents of the EU, US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Norway, New Zealand or Switzerland holding a residence permit valid 180+ days) and Category C (holders of a valid multiple-entry Schengen, US, UK, Australian, Canadian, Irish or New Zealand visa, valid 90+ days) can all apply entirely online, with no embassy visit needed. Travelers who don't fit any of the three categories must apply for a traditional sticker visa at a Moroccan embassy or consulate instead.

Documents checklist
- Valid ordinary passport (not a temporary passport), with at least one blank page
- Recent color photo, 35×45mm, light background, no glasses or hats
- For Category B: scan of your valid residence permit
- For Category C: scan of your valid qualifying visa (Schengen, US, UK, etc.)
- Valid email address to receive your e-Visa
Step-by-step application process
1. Confirm you're eligible for the e-Visa
Check whether you fall into Category A, B or C on acces-maroc.ma — otherwise you'll need the embassy route instead.
2. Complete the online form
Fill in your personal and travel details on the official platform.
3. Upload your documents
Attach your photo and, for Categories B/C, your residence permit or qualifying visa.
4. Pay the fee
Pay online — once validated and paid, the application can't be cancelled or refunded.
5. Receive your e-Visa by email
Express processing takes about 24 hours; standard takes 72 hours.
6. Print and carry your e-Visa
Bring it along with the qualifying document (residence permit or visa) that made you eligible.
